DN25-DN150
Product Description
The French Guillemin coupling (also called French coupling, Guillemin coupling, or symmetrical coupling) is a widely used quick-disconnect coupling system originating from France. It connects hoses and pipes without any tools, and is manufactured to NF E 29-572 (the original French standard) and EN 14420-8 (the harmonized European standard).
Its symmetrical design means every half-coupling of the same size is identical and fully interchangeable with any other Guillemin half-coupling — hose tail, threaded version, or blank cap — regardless of manufacturer (within the standard).
This model is the threaded version: one side is the standard Guillemin claw interface, the other side is a BSP threaded connection. It is available in two variants:
Male thread (adapter): external BSP thread, screws into female ports on pumps, tanks, valves, or equipment
Female thread (coupling): internal BSP thread, receives male nipples or threaded pipe ends
Both variants carry the same dimensional and pressure ratings as any other French Guillemin half-coupling of the same size.
Genuine French standard design – Manufactured to NF E 29-572 / EN 14420-8 dimensions, compatible with Guillemin couplings from other reputable manufacturers.
Tool-free quick connection – Press the two claw handles together to lock. One person connects or disconnects in seconds, no spanners or wrenches needed.
Symmetrical & interchangeable – All half-couplings of the same size are identical, reducing spare parts inventory and on-site mistakes.
Male or female thread end – Choose external (male) or internal (female) BSP thread to match your existing pipe, pump, or tank port.
Positive, pressure-assisted locking – The tapered locking ring self-tightens under pressure. Optional latch version adds a mechanical safety lock against accidental disconnection.
Lightweight aluminum body – A356-T6 aluminum alloy, gravity-cast and heat-treated. Roughly one-third the weight of stainless steel, yet rated for 10–16 bar service.
Reliable sealing – Standard NBR (nitrile) seal for water, oil, and general fluids. EPDM, FKM/Viton, and PTFE seals available for chemical, high-temperature, or aggressive media.
Full size range – DN25 (1") through DN100 (4") from stock; larger and non-standard sizes available to order.
Clean, corrosion-resistant finish – Sandblasted or polished aluminum surface, easy to clean and inspect.
